A TRIBUTE TO GEORGE BEST

In my nearly 40 years of SUPPORTING UNITED I have been privilaged to have seen some of the games greatest ever players Pele and Maradona to name just two. In the red shirt of United i have seen Bobby Charlton and Denis Law play in the 60's and early 70's. Bryan Robson in the 80's and of course Eric Cantona in the 90's But George Best was by far the greatest footballer i have ever seen as his name says "simply the best"

Your life was so full of light and tears we lived it through you through the years. The golden days, they went so fast, the precious times, why cant they last? So many loved you, did you know? We were not ready to let you go. The stars from heaven are only lent, a gift from God, thats why they've sent. We wont forget our Belfast Boy, he filled our lives with so much joy.
